President's
Welcome

Welcome to Northern California
San Francisco will be my home for the rest of my life. I have traveled all over the world and seen some of the most beautiful cities. Many of these cities may have more to offer in terms of more museums, culture, art, Broadway shows, history and architecture, but in San Francisco I have cable cars, Chinatown, Lombard (Crookedest) Street, Alcatraz Island, Dungeness crab, sourdough bread, Irish coffee, Golden Gate Bridge and the fog. These are just some of my loves. A short drive north takes me to Sonoma or Napa County for wine and cheese or olive oil tasting. Or I can go south, and see the Pacific Ocean, shop in Carmel or play golf at Pebble Beach. I actually moved away for a short time to Palm Springs, but everyone there knew I was from San Francisco and they constantly reminded me of my beautiful city. I packed my bags, but like the Tony Bennett song, "I left my heart in San Francisco", and I had to return.
The Northern California Concierge Association membership comprises approximately 150 professional concierges representing over 50 major and world class properties in the Sonoma and Napa counties, Carmel and Monterey areas, and the San Francisco Bay Area. We have studied, trained and acquired knowledge of our profession to enhance our guest’s experience when visiting our areas. We network and share information with each other. We pride ourselves to give the best recommendations in lodging, dining, recreational and cultural activities, therapeutic and beauty needs, shopping and whimsical wants. We offer romance and lasting memories. We, as ambassadors for our properties and our respected areas, smile and wait for the next request to satisfy our guest’s needs.
We are committed to creating a lasting relationship, by service through friendship.
The Northern California Concierge welcomes you into our world!

What
is a Concierge?
Once upon a time, in castles across Europe, lords and ladies
entertained lavishly. No one knows exactly when, but the position
of concierge was born out of the need for someone to take responsibility
for the host's guests' comfort. The concierge was responsible
for catering to every whim and wish of visiting nobles. He was
